Pserimos (from Greek Ψέριμος) is a small island in the Dodecanese situated between Kalymnos and Kos, very close to Turkey (8 km from the Bodrum Peninsula). It is only accessible by sea from Kalymnos (7 nautical miles) or Kos (6-10 nautical miles).
It has an area of 15 km² and a population of about 80 inhabitants.
The island is essentially arid and rocky but has several beautiful beaches. Near the village, there is an olive grove and a pine forest; otherwise, there is just a bit of Mediterranean scrub. The highest point measures about 268 meters.
The inhabitants primarily live off tourism, some pastoralism, and fishing. Many daily trips bring tourists to Pserimos from Kalymnos or Kos in search of tranquility and beautiful beaches.
The only village on the island is Avlakia, where the port is also located.
The island's road network is practically nonexistent. Outside the village, there are only footpaths, so one should not expect buses, taxis, or car or scooter rentals.
