A very large and varied island: it offers everything. Especially fascinating as the cradle of Minoan civilization (dating back to 3000 BC) and with some truly Caribbean-like beaches. Large archaeological areas, remote monasteries, fortresses, wild nature, and its characteristic folklore attract many tourists every year. The famous palace of Knossos, with its labyrinth, makes Crete an island of great attractions. Santorini is unique! The last of the 10 islands we selected, but only because they are listed alphabetically. Its volcanic nature makes it an almost magical island, with very romantic sunsets, incredible colored lava sand beaches, and beautiful white villages perched on cliffs. The view from the caldera is truly incredible. We chose Santorini simply because it would have been a crime not to!
