As in all Greek islands, the main accommodations for holidays are studios, which are small apartments (often one or two rooms), equipped with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and usually run by families, often at a good price. The managers of the studios are generally very helpful and friendly, as are the locals, and provide economical accommodation that is also suitable for the typical needs of a holiday on a Greek island.
The island of Salamina is not particularly touristy and is mainly frequented by Greeks; there are many second homes owned by Athenians. Nevertheless, you can find several hotel s and rooms for rent. In Salamina, there are two campsites: one in Ag. Nikólaos and another in Kaki Vigla.
