Best beaches of Folegandros

The beaches of Folegandros are few, wild, almost always devoid of vegetation, often accessible only by sea or via long and strenuous paths. However, they are all very beautiful, with sand or white pebbles, not equipped, and with transparent and colorful water. Those sheltered from the wind are located on the northwest coast or the southeast coast. Here are the main ones, starting from the port of Karavostassis and going around the island clockwise.

Karavostassis
Small beach at the port, with white gravel, transparent waters, and some small islands in front.

Latinaki
Located just south of the port, with sand and pebbles, shallow and transparent sea. The beach is easily accessible.

Vitsentzou
Easily accessible beach, with sand and pebbles, shallow and transparent sea.

Katergo
Beautiful long sandy beach accessible by sea from the port of Karavostassis.

Livadi
Large quiet beach, often with seaweed and rocky slabs in the water.

Fira
Small beach with sand and pebbles and crystal-clear sea. It is reachable from the beach of Angali via a 15-minute path.

Angali
Easily accessible even on foot, from the village of Angali, with a half-hour walk; perhaps the most beautiful on the island, ideal for diving and swimming, with green and transparent water.

Galifos
Small, with pebbles and stones, romantic and ideal for snorkeling. It is reachable in 15 minutes on foot via the path from Angali leading to Aghios Nikolaos.

Aghios Nikolaos
Located in the south of the island, it can be reached by sea or from the beach of Angali via a half-hour path. It is a beautiful gravel beach with some natural shade. A good spot for snorkeling.

Livadaki
Stunning beach with white sand and pebbles, surrounded by rocks, not equipped, very sheltered, and with beautiful blue sea. It is reachable by sea or from Ano Meria via a challenging path. It is an excellent place for snorkeling.

Lygaria
Very beautiful beach also accessible by land but with a long path.

Aghios Gheorghios
Accessible by sea or with a two-hour path from Ano Meria, beautiful beach with sand and pebbles, immersed in nature, and with very inviting sea.

Vardia
Located just north of the port, with sand and pebbles, shallow and transparent sea. The beach is easily accessible.
