Keros (in Greek καιρός) is part of the small archipelago called the "Small Cyclades," located southeast of Naxos, a mile and a half nautical distance from Koufonissi. It can only be reached by sea with private boats.

It has an area of 15 km² and no inhabitants.

The island is mountainous, rocky (white marble), and arid. Its highest peak measures 482 meters. Observing the profile of the island from Koufonissi, one can see that it resembles a reclining woman. It has no beaches, but its sea is very beautiful: clear and colorful.

Keros is practically uninhabited but is famous because many very ancient archaeological artifacts have been found there. Cycladic art originated on this island, as evidenced by the famous statuettes of two musicians, a harpist, and a flutist, found in Keros and now displayed at the National Museum of Athens and frequently reproduced as souvenirs. The island was an important center of Cycladic civilization in the past (2000-3000 BC) and is now under state protection. It is also said that Keros possesses a magnetic rock that emits positive flows, making a stay on the island beneficial.

Despite having been at the center of Cycladic civilization in the past, there are no villages or ports on Keros today.

The island has no roads, and it can be easily explored on foot.
