Best beaches of Corfù

The beaches of Corfu are mostly sandy and surrounded by dense vegetation. The sea is transparent and very beautiful. There are both well-equipped areas where you can practice any water sport and small quiet bays or coves among the rocks for snorkeling. Here are the main beaches starting from Corfu and going around the island counterclockwise.

Gouvia
A small, well-equipped, pebbly, and very beautiful beach with a view of Mount Pantokrator.

Dassia
A long, narrow, sandy beach, equipped, with very calm sea and the possibility of practicing water sports. You can see the mountains of Albania from the beach.

Ipsos
A very popular, long, sandy bay, equipped, with shallow water and views of the mountains of Albania. Water sports are available.

Barbati
A mixed beach of sand and pebbles, equipped, surrounded by olive trees and with very clean sea. It offers the possibility of practicing water sports and a beautiful panorama towards Corfu and Albania.

Nissaki
A small, equipped, quiet, pebbly beach sheltered by rocks. Ideal for snorkeling.

Agni
A small and beautiful cove of sand and pebbles with deep sea, equipped, and a starting point to reach the beautiful small beaches of the area by taxi-boat.

Kalami
A splendid sandy and pebbly beach, equipped and with shallow sea. It offers the possibility of practicing water sports.

Kouloura
A pebbly bay reachable on foot via a path among olive trees, not very crowded, with no tourist facilities. Only by swimming can you reach other small deserted bays.

Aghios Stefanos
A beautiful sandy beach, equipped, very close to Albania and not very frequented by tourists because it is a bit inconvenient to reach. From here you can take the ferry to the Diapontia islands.

Kassiopi
Two beaches of sand and pebbles: one more touristic, lively, and equipped, directly in front of the town, while the other, smaller, is more characteristic and located behind the promontory.

Acharavi
An immense sandy beach, quiet because it is far from the road, with shallow sea and very clear water.

Roda
Two sandy beaches: a small one west of the village and a very large, frequented, and very renowned one.

Sidari
Three beaches with shallow sea: the famous “Canal d'Amour” located among the rocks, a very long and frequented sandy beach, and finally a small bay among rocks smoothed by the wind.

Peroulades
A sandy beach with high white cliffs behind it. The beach is not equipped and is reached via a steep path and steps. The sea is shallow and the seabed contains clay.

Arila
Two equipped beaches, of sand and pebbles, long and narrow with shallow sea.

Aghios Georgios
It is the sandy beach of one of the largest bays in Corfu, so it has both equipped and touristy stretches as well as free and deserted ones.

Paleokastritsa
A beautiful beach with the most beautiful sea on the island, actually made up of several small sandy and pebbly bays. The largest beach is the most well-known and is located right under an ancient monastery. It is equipped, very frequented, and offers all kinds of water sports. From here you can reach other beautiful beaches, for example, with a taxi-boat. The sea of these other beaches is deep and suitable for snorkeling.

Mirtiotissas
A beautiful free beach, surrounded by rocks, without any tourist facilities and with the possibility of practicing nudism.

Glifada
A beautiful large fine sandy beach, shallow sea, very equipped, and located between cliffs. To reach it you have to follow a winding road among the rocks.

Aghios Gordis
Located south of Sinarades, it is a beautiful sandy beach characterized by the presence of high cliffs and a sea stack in the open sea. The beach is equipped and frequented by those who love snorkeling and underwater fishing.

Issos
A long beach of sand dunes, equipped and very frequented. Ideal for long walks that also lead to quiet areas.

Agia Varvara
Located south near the village of Perivoli, it is sandy, equipped, and with shallow sea.

Gardenos
Located near the village of Vitalades, it is a very beautiful, sandy, equipped, and large beach.

Kavos
A long sandy beach at the extreme south of the island, very touristy, with shallow sea and the possibility of practicing water sports.

Aghios Ioanni Peristeron
Near the village of Moraitika, it is a narrow beach of sand and pebbles, equipped, with flat emerging rocks. To let tourists enjoy the wonderful sea of this lush area, a platform has been built. In the area, there is no possibility of buying food or drinks.

Tsaki
Near the village of Benitses, it is a small free sandy beach with a beautiful calm sea and lush vegetation almost down to the sand.
