Arkoi (from Greek Αρκοι), is a small island in the Dodecanese surrounded by 9 other very small islands, located east of Patmos and north of Lipsi. It can only be reached by sea, particularly from Patmos (11 nautical miles) and from Lipsi (5 nautical miles), while it is about 30 km from the Turkish coast.

It has an area of 7 km² and a population of about 50 inhabitants.

The island is arid (lacking potable water), covered only by olive trees and Mediterranean scrub bushes, among which many goats graze. Its coasts are rugged and rocky, though lacking high cliffs. The few inhabitants are essentially fishermen and livestock breeders.

The capital of the island, and the only village, is Augusta where there is also the picturesque port within a fjord protected by islets.

Arkoi, not yet discovered by tourism, offers maximum tranquility and especially the opportunity to immerse oneself in the most authentic Greece where the daily life of the inhabitants still follows the rhythms of the past. Its sea is very beautiful and crystal clear and its coasts, although rocky, also offer some sandy beaches. Among the island's visitors are mainly boaters and tourists on classic day trips from nearby islands.

The road network is very limited but the island, being very small, can be easily visited on foot. There are no public transport services or car or scooter rentals.
