Kalymnos is connected by ferry to the port of Piraeus (about 10 hours), arriving at the port of Pothia. The island can also be reached from all other Dodecanese islands: Kos (30 minutes), Leros (40 minutes), Patmos (1.5 hours), Symi (2–4 hours), Rhodes (3–5 hours), and from the Cyclades (e.g. Paros: 7.5 hours) and Crete. Most ferries make stops at major islands along the route.
The main ferry companies are Dodekanisos Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, and Anek Lines. For booking, refer to directferries.com.
Kalymnos has a domestic airport with flights from Athens (1 hour) and Rhodes (1 hour 10 minutes) operated by Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air. For flight booking, visit skyscanner.com.
Connections, both by sea and air, are more frequent during the summer season; always check availability if travelling in other periods.
