Best beaches of Nisyros

The beaches of Nisyros are few, tranquil, unorganized, and generally made of dark pebbles. The sea is very clear and clean. Here are the main beaches starting from the port and going around the island clockwise.

Gialiskari
Sandy beach with black rocks and clear sea.

Pali
Long beach with black sand and pebbles, natural shade, and shallow, clear water.

Katsouni
Beach with sand, pebbles, and pumice, large, with natural shade and many curious small caves facing the clear sea.

Lyes
Very long beach with dark sand and pebbles, sunny, with coves and clear sea.

Pachia Ammos
Large, wild sandy beach with dunes and deep, calm, clear sea. Accessible only on foot in about 10 minutes. Frequented by nudists.

Avlaki
Small beach with large dark lava pebbles, rocks, shallow, clear sea, and hot water springs.

Chochlaki
Beach with dark pebbles, windy, wild, and clear sea. Reachable from the church of Panaghia Spiliani via a beautiful path paved with round black and white pebbles (about 10 minutes).
