Aegina is one of the closest islands to Athens, connected by ferries and hydrofoils from the port of Piraeus (40–75 minutes). The island is also accessible from other Saronic Gulf islands such as Agistri (10 minutes), Hydra, Spetses, and Poros, as well as from the port of Methana in Attica (50 minutes).
The main company operating is Hellenic Seaways. For booking, refer to directferries.com.
Aegina does not have its own airport. The closest is Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos), well connected to destinations across Europe and beyond. For flight booking, visit skyscanner.com.
Sea connections are more frequent during the summer season; always check route availability if travelling in other periods.
