The beaches of Andros cater to all tastes, whether windy or sheltered, and always feature beautiful clear waters. There are both wide bays and hidden, deserted coves. Generally, even in high season, the island's beaches are never particularly crowded. Here are the main ones, starting from the port of Gavrio and going around the island clockwise.

Tis Grias to Pidima (The Old Lady's Leap)
A famous sandy beach, best reached by sea, with a tall rock column emerging from the shore and very beautiful crystal-clear water. According to local legend, the rock represents an old woman who turned to stone after jumping into the sea from the rocks.
