What to see in Iraklia?

Iraklia is appreciated for its beautiful white sandy beaches, crystal-clear sea, virgin coves, unspoiled nature, and the tranquility it offers. Being small, it can be easily explored on foot, and the walks it offers are very beautiful. Here are the main attractions:

Panagia
The capital is located about an hour's walk from the port. It is a very quiet, old-fashioned farming village with a charming church.

Agios Georgios
Consists of a few white houses around the port with a picturesque evening promenade along the waterfront, but little else, all in an atmosphere of serenity and old-world charm.

Castello
These are the ruins of a fortified citadel with visible bastions, walls, and the remains of two temples.

Grotta Agios Ioannis
A beautiful cave with stalactites and stalagmites transformed into a church and used for this purpose. It is reachable on foot via a path. It is said that an icon of Agios Ioannis was found inside the cave, now kept in the church of Panagia.
