How to get to Iraklia?

Iraklia is one of the Small Cyclades, accessible only by sea. The main connection is from nearby Naxos (1 hour 40 minutes). The island can also be reached from Amorgos (2–4 hours), Paros (2 hours 15 minutes), and the other Small Cyclades, particularly Schinoussa (20 minutes) and Koufonissi (50 minutes). From Piraeus, the ferry takes about 7 hours; in summer, catamarans and hydrofoils from Rafina are also available.

Among the ferry companies operating are Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, and Express Skopelitis (which connects Naxos to Amorgos stopping at all Small Cyclades). For booking, refer to directferries.com.

The island does not have an airport. The fastest route is to fly to Naxos (domestic flights from Athens) or Mykonos/Paros (European connections in summer) and continue by ferry.

Sea connections are much more frequent during the summer season; always check availability if travelling in other periods.
