Best beaches of Iraklia

The beaches of Iraklia are beautiful with crystal-clear, blue waters. However, they are often much more conveniently accessible by sea. Here are the main ones, starting from the port and going around the island clockwise.

Agios Georgios
A sandy beach near the port, long, with natural shade and blue, clear water. Reachable on foot in 10 minutes from the port.

Livadi
A beautiful, large, sandy beach, frequented, fairly sheltered, with natural shade and shallow, clear water. Reachable from the port in 15 minutes.

Tourkopigado
A pebbly beach, sheltered, with a small port and very beautiful, crystal-clear water. Reachable on foot.

Merihas
A small pebble beach, accessible only by sea, with blue and clear waters.

Karvounolakos
A small pebble beach, accessible only by sea, with colorful and clear waters.

Alimia
A sandy beach with clear waters. Very popular with divers because the seabed has a well-visible German plane from World War II.

Vourkaria
A small pebble beach, reachable on foot, with clear water.

Spilla
A sandy and very windy beach.
