Best beaches of Kea

The sea of Kea is crystal clear, and its southern coasts are particularly beautiful. The island features bays, small and large sandy beaches, especially to the west, as the eastern coast is rather steep. Here are the main beaches, starting from the port of Korissia and going around the island clockwise.

Yialiskari
A very popular beach also because it is close to the port of Korissia, sheltered, and suitable for children. Water sports can be practiced here.

Otzias
A very long sandy beach located in a picturesque bay, popular and surrounded by almond trees. Water sports can be practiced here.

Spathi
A beautiful, large, sandy beach, tranquil with lovely blue and clear water.

Poles
A small beach with a view of the ruins of a Doric temple and a theater from the ancient city of Karthea.

Liparo
A beautiful, solitary beach at the end of the rocky gorge of Vathirrema.

Kambi
A beautiful, sheltered beach with calm and clear water.

Koundouros
A lovely sandy beach, sheltered from the wind with beautiful azure and crystal-clear water. Various water sports can be practiced here.

Pisses
A beautiful beach, perhaps the best, sandy and reachable through a lovely valley rich in orchards and vegetation.
