Mykonos is one of the most connected Greek islands. By ferry, it is linked to Piraeus (3.5–6 hours), Rafina (2 hours 45 minutes – 4.5 hours), and Lavrio (2 hours 50 minutes). The island is also connected to almost all Cyclades: Syros (1 hour 15 minutes), Paros (1 hour 20 minutes), Naxos (2 hours 20 minutes), Tinos (30 minutes), Crete (4 hours 40 minutes), and Dodecanese islands.
The main ferry companies are Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, Sea Jets, and others. For booking, refer to directferries.com.
Mykonos has an international airport with flights from Athens (40 minutes via Olympic Air or Aegean Airlines) and, during summer, direct connections to many European cities across the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Scandinavia, and more. Airlines operating include EasyJet, Volotea, Aegean Airlines, and many others. Mykonos is also connected to other Greek airports including Rhodes, Santorini, Thessaloniki, and Crete. For flight booking, visit skyscanner.com.
Connections, both by sea and air, are much more frequent during the summer season; always check availability if travelling in other periods.
