As with all Greek islands, the main accommodations for holidays are studios, which are small apartments (often one or two rooms) equipped with a kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom, usually family-run and often reasonably priced. The managers of the studios are generally very friendly and helpful, as are the residents, providing affordable accommodations that are well-suited to the typical needs of a holiday on a Greek island.
The island of Mykonos is very touristy, so you can find a wide variety of accommodations, including hotel s, residences, and tourist villages. Unlike other islands, Mykonos is very organized and expensive, offering high-level accommodations as well. There are also two campsites on the island near the beaches of Paranga and Paradise.

Be careful where you plan to stay in Mykonos! There are party areas where the music lasts all night, and other quieter areas more suitable for families. The island is not large, so you can decide to get around either by public transport or on your own; however, in high season, it is very crowded, so limiting travel might be a good idea. The villages with the most accommodation offers are: Chora, Ornos, Aghios Ioannis, Platis Gialos, Elia Beach, Kalafatis, Ano Mera, Tourlos, Super Paradise Beach, and Paradise Beach.
Chora
Those who come to Mykonos exclusively for the nightlife must stop in the lively and beautiful Chora, the capital. By day, it is still a charming white village with colorful details where it is pleasant to stroll through the narrow streets full of small shops. If you want to reach the beautiful beaches of the island, it is also the starting point for various public transport as well as ferries. However, it should be noted that Chora is certainly not economical!
