Chalki is a small Dodecanese island connected to the mainland by ferry from the port of Piraeus (approximately 22 hours), arriving at the port of Nimborio. The island can also be reached from many Dodecanese islands: Rhodes (1–2 hours), Kos (2.5 hours), Tilos (40 minutes), and Karpathos (3.5 hours). The quickest route from Rhodes is via the secondary port of Skala Kamiros (45 minutes). Connections also exist from some Cyclades and from Crete.
The main ferry companies are Dodekanisos Seaways, Anek Lines, ANES Ferries, and Aegeon Pelagos. For booking, refer to directferries.com.
Chalki does not have an airport. The fastest way to reach it is to fly to Rhodes (connected to Athens and many European cities year-round) and then take the short ferry crossing.
Connections are more frequent during the summer season; always check route availability if travelling in other periods.
