As in all Greek islands, the main accommodations for holidays are studios, which are small apartments (often one or two rooms), equipped with a kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom, usually run by families and often at a good price. The managers of the studios are generally very helpful and friendly, as are the inhabitants, and they provide economical accommodations that are well-suited to the typical needs of a holiday on a Greek island.
The island of Chalki is not very touristy, but you can still find rooms for rent and hotel s; however, there is no camping site. The little tourism present is of a medium-high level, and prices are generally higher than the Greek average. It is advisable to book well in advance.
