Rhodes is one of the most accessible Greek islands, well connected both by sea and air. By ferry, it is linked to the port of Piraeus (13–18 hours depending on stops) and to all other Dodecanese islands, the Cyclades, northeast Aegean islands, Turkey (Marmaris: 45 minutes; Bodrum: 2.5 hours), Cyprus (15 hours), and occasionally Israel.
The main ferry companies are Dodekanisos Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, and Anek Lines. For booking, refer to directferries.com.
Rhodes has Diagoras International Airport, one of Greece's busiest. Domestic flights operate from Athens (55 minutes), Thessaloniki (1.5 hours), Crete (35 minutes), Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, and many other islands. In summer, the airport is directly connected to a wide range of European cities across the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, France, Italy, and beyond, with both scheduled and charter flights. Airlines include Ryanair, EasyJet, Aegean Airlines, Volotea, and many others. For flight booking, visit skyscanner.com.
Connections, both by sea and air, are more frequent during the summer season; always check availability if travelling in other periods.
