Best beaches of Tilos

The beaches of Tilos are easily accessible by land only in the north. For the others, you need to move on foot, with an off-road vehicle, or by sea. There are both sandy and pebbly beaches, and the sea is always crystal clear. Below is a list of the main beaches, starting from the port and traveling clockwise around the island.

Livadia
Sandy, pebbly, and stony beach, long, serviced, popular, with natural shade and crystal-clear waters.

Aghios Sergios
Beautiful beach located in an isolated area surrounded by mountains. Difficult to reach by land.

Tholos
Isolated beach with colorful and crystal-clear waters. Difficult to reach by land.

Stavros
Isolated beach reachable by land only on foot in one hour from the port (partially difficult path). The sea is clear, and there are some caves.

Eristos
Beautiful sandy and pebbly beach, long, quiet, unserviced, easily reachable by bus, with natural shade and crystal-clear waters. Sometimes frequented by nudists.

Plaka
Beautiful sandy and pebbly beach, long, wild, with some natural shade and clear waters with a rocky seabed. Reachable on foot from Aghios Antonios.

Aghios Antonios
Small sandy and pebbly beach, long, quiet, with deep waters and a sometimes rocky seabed. In the area, some petrified human skeletons are visible, formed during an eruption of the Nisyros volcano.

Skafi
Pebbly beach, reachable by land only on foot (45 minutes from Megalo Chorio), absolutely isolated, sunny, windy, and with clear waters.

Lethra
Long, unserviced, wild pebbly beach with natural shade in small caves, colorful, crystal-clear waters, and frequented by nudists. Reachable on foot from the port in less than an hour with a beautiful panoramic path.

Red Beach
Reddish sandy beach near the islet of Gaidaros, reachable only on foot from the port in about half an hour, with beautiful clear waters.
