Tilos (from Greek Τήλος) is an island in the Dodecanese located between Kos and Rhodes. It can only be reached by sea, for example from the Greek port of Piraeus (220 nautical miles), from Rhodes (22 nautical miles), or from Kos (35 nautical miles).

It has an area of 63 km² and a population of about 400 inhabitants.

The island is of volcanic origin and has very rugged coasts. Its predominantly rocky territory features mountains, hills, small valleys, and several watercourses. In the flat areas, it is fertile and well-cultivated. Thanks to the presence of water, many varieties of birds and animals find refuge on the island. The highest mountain is Profitis Ilias (651 meters).

The inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture, livestock breeding, some tourism, and strive to keep their traditions alive. The honey produced on the island is excellent.

The capital of the island is Megalo Chorio, while the main port is Livadia.

A road in decent condition connects the main places on the island. There is a limited bus service as well as some taxis and car or scooter rentals.
