Best beaches of Skyros

The beaches of Skyros are generally sandy or with fine gravel. The island also has beautiful cliffs and caves. The best beaches are found to the north of the island and can be reached by road or by caicchi departing from the port of Linaria. Below is a list of the most well-known areas, starting from Chora and imagining traveling clockwise around the island.

Magazià
Located right below Chora, it is a long, sandy beach and very popular.

Aspous
Located about 4 km south of Chora, it is a sandy beach.

Achillis
Located near Aspous, it is a bay characterized by the presence of pine trees almost reaching the sea.

Treis Boukes
Located in the south of the island, it is a picturesque bay with two islets at the entrance that form three passages (hence the name meaning Three Mouths). On one of the islets, Sarakiniko, there is a beautiful sandy beach (Glyfada).

Kalamitsa
Located east of the port of Linaria, it is a large horseshoe-shaped sandy beach.

Linaria
Near the island's port, you will find the beautiful sea caves Xiloparati, Mantroucha, and Pentekali.

Acherounes
Located near the port of Linaria, it is a sandy beach.

Pefkos
Reachable both by car and by sea, it is a beach sheltered from the winds in a picturesque setting with pine trees almost reaching the sea.

Aghios Fokas
One of the most beautiful beaches of Skyros, reachable by car via a paved road bordered by pine trees. The beach is sandy with turquoise sea.

Atsitsa
Located on the northwest coast, it is accessible by road. The beach is characterized by the presence of trees.

Girismata
One of the busiest beaches on the island, a few kilometers from Chora, with beautiful crystal-clear water.

Molos
The continuation of Magazià beach towards the north, about 4 km from Chora. It is a large sandy beach with shallow water and often crowded. A good spot for sunset.
