How to get to Donoussa?

Donoussa is the most remote of the Small Cyclades and can only be reached by sea, primarily from nearby Naxos (1 hour 10 minutes). It is also accessible from Amorgos (1 hour 45 minutes), Paros (2 hours 25 minutes), Astypalea (2 hours 20 minutes), Mykonos, Syros, and the other Small Cyclades (from Koufonissi: 1 hour 20 minutes). From Piraeus, the ferry takes about 6 hours 45 minutes; in summer, catamarans are also available.

Among the companies operating are Blue Star Ferries and Express Skopelitis (which connects Naxos with Amorgos, stopping at all the Small Cyclades). For booking, refer to directferries.com.

The island does not have an airport. The fastest route is to fly to Naxos (domestic flights from Athens) or to Mykonos/Paros (European connections in summer) and continue by ferry.

Sea connections are much more frequent during the summer season; always check availability. Trips may be cancelled in strong winds.
