How to get to Ios?

Ios is connected by ferry to the port of Piraeus (3 hours 10 minutes โ€“ 8 hours 35 minutes) and Rafina (4โ€“7.5 hours). The island can also be reached from many Cyclades: Paros (1.5 hours), Santorini (30 minutes โ€“ 1 hour), Naxos (1 hour 15 minutes), Mykonos (4 hours), Folegandros (1 hour 20 minutes), Milos (3.5 hours), and from Crete (2 hours).

The main ferry companies are Hellenic Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, and Zante Ferries. For booking, refer to directferries.com.

Ios does not have an airport. The fastest way to reach it is to fly to Santorini or Paros (both connected to Athens and many European cities in summer) and then take a short ferry. For flight booking, visit skyscanner.com.

Connections are much more frequent during the summer season; always check route availability if travelling in other periods.
