Best beaches of Ios

The beaches of Ios are very beautiful, but few are accessible by land. Here are the main ones, starting from Chora and going around the island counterclockwise.

Gialos
Sandy beach very close to the port, quite popular, equipped, and with beautiful clear water. Various water sports can be practiced.

Milopotas
Long sandy beach at the foot of Chora, sheltered, very popular (especially among young people), equipped, and with magnificent water. Various water sports can be practiced.

Manganari
Two kilometers of contiguous sandy beaches, at times very quiet, equipped, with beautiful colorful, shallow, and crystal-clear water. Various water sports can be practiced.

Tris Klissies
Beautiful and solitary beach accessible by sea (or on foot with a one and a half hour walk).

Papa
Small, quiet sandy beach, accessible only by sea, with beautiful blue and crystal-clear water.
