Best beaches of Koufonissi

The beautiful light sandy beaches of Koufonissi are almost never equipped and can be reached on foot or by taxi boat. They are mostly located along the eastern coast of the island and have a stunning crystal-clear and very blue sea. Here are the main beaches starting from the port and going counterclockwise around the island, with a mention of those on Kato Koufonissi.

Megali Ammos
A long, sheltered, and frequented sandy beach located right inside the port, equipped, with a beautiful shallow and clear blue sea.

Finikas/Harakopou
A beautiful sandy beach, also frequented by nudists, with a crystal-clear and colorful sea.

Fanos
A beautiful, tranquil sandy beach surrounded by rocks, with a shallow, particularly clear blue sea.

Platia Pounta
A sandy beach, frequented, with dunes and a colorful, crystal-clear sea.

Piscinas
A small, clear natural pool among the rocks near the beach of Platia Pounta.

Pori
A beautiful large, circular, sunny, and windy sandy beach, frequented by nudists, with dunes and a Caribbean-like, shallow, colorful, and crystal-clear sea. A good spot for windsurfing enthusiasts. Accessible on foot in half an hour. Nearby there is a sea cave and high cliffs.

Gala
A small pebbly beach just beyond Pori, connected to the sea through a small cave, difficult to locate but with a very beautiful sea.

Kato Koufonissi
The three most notable beaches are Dentis, Nero, and Panaghia. All are sandy with a beautiful sea.
