Best beaches of Tinos

The coasts of Tinos are steep, especially in the east, but there are several bays with beaches of various sizes. Most are pebbly, but there are also sandy ones. Apart from the southern beaches, many of the others are somewhat difficult to reach by land. Here are the main beaches, starting from the capital and going around the island counterclockwise.

Aghios Fokas
A long beach of gravel and sand near the capital, partly equipped, with natural shade, tranquil and sheltered from the winds. Some water sports can be practiced here.

Aghios Sostis
A beautiful sandy beach, well-frequented, clean, with natural shade and shallow waters.

Aghios Ioannis
A beautiful sandy beach with a small port.

Ammoudaki
A beautiful series of small secluded beaches, with oleanders and a lovely green sea.

Lychnaftia
A beautiful pebble beach with flat rock slabs, immersed in nature, quiet and without any facilities.

Livada
A beautiful beach of dark sand and pebbles, secluded, with red rock slabs, a cave, some natural pools, and a crystal-clear sea.

Kolymphithra
A beautiful sandy beach near the village of Komi, protected and with a lovely crystal-clear sea.

Panormos
Two beautiful beaches separated by a promontory: one sandy and windy, the other more rocky. Both have a beautiful sea.

Ormos Kardiani
A beautiful pebble beach, partly equipped, with a crystal-clear sea.

Aghios Petros
A charming small, quiet, sandy beach.

Kionia
A long beach of sand and gravel located in the area where the famous temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite stood, with natural shade and a crystal-clear sea that gently slopes. A small church at the water's edge enhances its charm. Water sports can be practiced here.
