As on all Greek islands, the main holiday accommodations are studios, which are small apartments (often one or two-room), equipped with a kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. These are usually run by families and often available at good prices. The owners of the studios are generally very helpful and friendly, as are the locals, and they provide affordable accommodations that are well-suited to the typical needs of a vacation on a Greek island.
Symi aims to attract quality tourism, although it is mainly a destination for day trips from Rhodes. For accommodation, there are not many hotel s, but they range across all categories. There are no campsites on the island.
