Alonissos can only be reached by sea and is regularly connected both to the mainland and to the other Northern Sporades. The port is located in the capital, Patitiri.
Both ferries and hydrofoils operate (especially in summer), with main connections to Volos and Agios Konstantinos on the mainland. The island is also regularly connected to Skiathos, Skopelos, and Thessaloniki. For tickets, visit the Hellenic Seaways website.
Alonissos does not have an airport. The closest one is on the island of Skiathos, which has direct summer flights from several European cities as well as year-round connections to Athens. From Skiathos, continue by ferry to Alonissos.
Sea connections are more frequent during the summer season; always check route availability if travelling in other periods.
