Lipsi has beaches with a somewhat wild charm, featuring crystal-clear waters and beautiful seabeds. The best anchorages for those arriving by boat are found in the coves to the south of the island, while for diving enthusiasts, I recommend the area between Aspra North and Aspra South, on the eastern side of the island. The beaches are not equipped, and there are often no bars or taverns nearby, so remember to bring everything you need. Here are the main beaches, starting from the village and going around the island clockwise.
Lientou
A beautiful beach with sand and gravel, quite popular because it is the closest to the village, with natural shade, shallow and clear sea.
Kampos
A fairly sandy, wild beach with some shade, a good spot for snorkeling, presence of grazing goats, and a beautiful very clear sea.
Kimisi
A small gravel beach reachable with a two-hour walk. For the locals, it is a sacred place where a hermit used to live. A beautiful small church, visitable with very covering clothes, embellishes the place and offers a source of very fresh water.
Platys Gialos
A beautiful sandy beach, sheltered and therefore very warm, with some natural shade, a beautiful shallow, blue, crystal-clear sea with warm waters. The beach, due to its sand, turquoise sea, and the panorama it offers, is very popular with both tourists and some geese that swim calmly in the sea.
Kamares
A wild beach with gravel and large stones located in a rocky, steep cove, reachable with a three-quarter-hour walk from the village.
Monodendri
A small pebble beach, mostly frequented by nudists, wild, with a beautiful very clear sea and other small coves nearby. Its name means "single tree," as a lone juniper stands out over the sea. The walk from the village takes about 50 minutes.
Tourkomnima
A partly sandy, wild, solitary beach with clear sea.
Xirokampos
A long, wild beach, partly sandy with clear sea.
Hohlacoura
A beautiful beach with pebbles and white stones, large, with a cave providing some natural shade on the right and other coves with flat rocks, reachable from the village with a half-hour walk.
Katsadia
A large sandy, sheltered beach with a beautiful natural setting, a view of Leros island, natural shade, shallow sea, and used by fishermen. There are other less frequented small beaches in the surroundings.
Papandria
A sandy beach immersed in nature.
