Best beaches of Gavdos

The beaches of Gavdos, frequently visited by nudists, are beautiful and numerous relative to the size of the island. Here are the main beaches starting from the port and going around the island clockwise.

Korfos
A beach with sand and pebbles and clear sea. Accessible by a dirt road or on foot via a coastal path starting from the port.

Lakoudi
A beautiful beach with a stunningly colored sea. Only accessible on foot via land.

Tripiti
A beautiful beach with sand and smooth pebbles and a stunningly colored sea. The surrounding area is characteristic, with three large rock arches and the famous giant chair marking the southernmost point of Europe.

Potamos
A beautiful sandy beach set between rocky canyons, remote, wild, and with a colorful sea. Accessible by land via a steep and challenging path.

Pyrgos
A pair of wild, sandy beaches, not very crowded, with a beautiful calm and crystalline sea. Accessible by land: one via a long and partially difficult path, and the other by walking through the sea.

Stavrolimni
A small sandy beach known for the presence of clay used as a mud spread on the skin. It can be reached from both Pyrgos and Lavrakas.

Lavrakas
A sandy, windy, wild beach, not very crowded, with a beautiful blue sea. Also accessible by land on foot.

Agios Ioannis
A beautiful, large, wild but popular sandy beach, panoramic, very frequented by nudists, with a beautiful shallow sea. Free camping area. Accessible by road and then a short path.

Sarakiniko
A beautiful, sheltered sandy beach, popular, with a stunningly colored and shallow sea. Accessible by car or on foot from the port in less than half an hour.
